If there’s a road that can be considered as Paris spine is the Avenue des Champs-Elysées, the huge boulevard that connects Place de la Concorde with Place de l'Etoile.
It is nearly 2 km long, 88 meter wide and includes a big junction, the Rond Point, that separates the higher from the lower part of the avenue. It is busy with shops, stores, restaurants, cafés, luxury hotels, theatres, gardens, cinemas and offices, as well as top brand megastores.
A must go road for shopaholics, but also for those who love to breathe the city centre atmosphere, stopping at the near Jardin des Tuileries and visiting the Arc de Triomphe. And if you happen to be in Paris in the right period, on the Champs Elysées you can watch the award ceremony of the Tour de France or the 14th July celebrations.
